10 Months to concept
Design and build a sustainable concept car, to inspire the automotive industry, following the guiding principles of a mono-material approach and design for disassembly.
Within this multidisciplinary project, I am involved in the exterior and interior design of the vehicle, including its unique seats and steering yoke. Making sure that it fits the defined packaging and engineering. later actively participated in its prototyping.
The theme revolves around a minimalist yet stylish design, boldly showcasing mono-materiality through its distinctive sandwich-like exterior.
After hundreds of sketches and iterations on paper, I used the surface modeling in Rhino to visualize the car in 3D, fit it into our defined package, and further develop the design.
The interior emphasizes design for disassembly and mono-materiality as well. A standout feature is the stylish seats, where all components—the frame, seat panel, and cushions—are distinctly separate and color-coded for easy disassembly.
The steering yoke features a sleek, monomaterial design inspired by the infinity symbol, emphasizing the car's eternal lifecycle.
After generating ideas on paper, I created the 3D model for production using Sub-D modeling.
